Welcome to CampCrew ("CampCrew", "we", "our", or "us"). By using the CampCrew Android app, iPhone app, or website at campcrew.camp, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use CampCrew.
1. The Service
CampCrew is a private camping trip log for families and camping groups ("crews"). It lets a crew record and share campground reviews, site details, trip photos, outings, dining spots, packing lists, expense splits, and wishlist ideas across its members' devices.
2. Your Account
- You sign in with Google, or with Sign in with Apple on iPhone. You can link both to one CampCrew account. CampCrew has no separate password.
- While CampCrew is in its limited launch, new accounts need an invitation or registration pass.
- You are responsible for keeping your Google or Apple account secure and for what happens under your CampCrew account. Tell us right away at support@campcrew.camp if you think someone else has used it.
3. Crews
- A crew is a shared space. Everything you add to a crew is visible to all of its members.
- A crew's owner and admins decide who joins, and can delete what is in the crew.
- A crew's owner (the person who created it, unless they transferred ownership to someone else) can delete it. Deleting a crew permanently deletes everything in it, including what other members added. If the owner deletes their account, their crew is deleted too. Crew owners and admins can download a copy of the crew's photos and trip log from the Crew tab on the web, and we encourage keeping your own copies of anything important.
4. Your Content
You own everything you add to CampCrew: trips, reviews, notes, ideas, expenses, and photos.
- License to host: you give CampCrew a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, resize, format, and transmit your content, only so we can show it to the members of your crew and run the service.
- Your responsibility: you confirm that you have the right to share what you upload, including photos of other people, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
5. Acceptable Use
CampCrew is a family app. You agree not to:
- Upload anything illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or harmful to minors, or that invades someone's privacy.
- Upload viruses or other harmful code, or disrupt the service.
- Try to reach data, accounts, storage, or systems you are not authorized to access.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated scripts without our written permission.
We may, but are not required to, review or remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Price, Storage Limits, and Retention
- CampCrew is free today. If we introduce paid storage plans, we will update these Terms and tell you before anyone is charged. Payments would go through Google Play (Android), the App Store (iPhone), or Stripe (web), under their own terms.
- Storage limits: each crew has storage limits. If a crew goes over its plan's limit (for example, after a paid plan ends), we warn you in the app and wait 90 days. If the crew is still over the limit, we remove its oldest photos, only as many as needed to get back under the limit, and never everything.
- No deletion for inactivity: we never delete an account, a crew, or its data because it hasn't been used.
7. CampCrew Shop
- Shop items are printed on demand and shipped by our fulfillment partner, Printful. Production and shipping estimates are shown at checkout.
- Payment is handled by Stripe.
- Because items are made to order, we accept returns only for items that arrive defective, damaged, or misprinted, reported within 30 days of delivery. Email support@campcrew.camp with photos of the problem for a replacement or refund.
8. App Stores
If you downloaded CampCrew from Google Play or the App Store, that store's terms also apply to your use of the store. Google and Apple are not responsible for CampCrew or for these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
CampCrew is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work hard to protect your data, but we do not promise the service will always be available or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, CampCrew and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
11. Ending Your Use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what gets deleted. We may suspend or close accounts that repeatedly break these Terms or abuse the service or other users.
12. Changes to These Terms
When we change these Terms, we update the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app. If you keep using CampCrew after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
