Release Notes & Changelog

Follow the evolution of CampCrew. Detailed updates, new capabilities, and architectural improvements across all mobile and web releases.

Version 1.0.27 (Build 32) Latest

October 22, 2026
🧩 Same Dialogs Everywhere
  • Add Itemized Expense on the web: a compact card with pill chips for the category and for who splits the cost, matching Android and iPhone.
  • Park map on Campground Detail: a campground's park map now shows above its visits; tap it to open it full screen.
πŸ›‘οΈ Safer Edits
  • Duplicate campground guard: logging a campground that already exists asks whether to log a new visit there or change the name, instead of overwriting it.
  • Photo removal: only Owners and Admins can remove photos already saved in a visit, on every device.
  • Delete confirmations: deleting an expense, comment or custom amenity asks you to confirm first.

Version 1.0.26 (Build 31)

October 20, 2026
🎨 One Look Everywhere
  • Same app on every screen: the website, Android and iPhone now share one design: green highlights, gold section titles, rounded cards, matching text fields and pill-shaped buttons.
  • Dashboard: your crew photo and "Basecamp" home address in the header, "+ Outing" and "+ Dining" buttons that add straight to your latest visit, and a tap on a campground's name (or "All Visits") opens every visit to it.
  • Half-star ratings: campground, bathhouse and campsite ratings use sliders in half steps, and a 4.5 always stays a 4.5.
  • Edit Visit on iPhone: one simple page, laid out the same as on Android and the web. Nights are worked out from your dates automatically.
πŸ—ΊοΈ Maps & Photos
  • Directions: the Directions button opens Google Maps on every device, including iPhone.
  • Park maps and banners: a campground's park map and banner now show the same on every device, wherever they were added.
  • Photos load more reliably: photos load faster on Android, and if one can't load you'll see a clear placeholder instead of a blank box.
πŸ”§ Fixes
  • States: campground states are stored the same way everywhere, so filters and search treat "CO" and "Colorado" as one state. Existing campgrounds were updated for you.
  • Rating filters: "4+" now means 4 stars or more; a 3.5 no longer counts.
  • Address lookups: when the address service is busy, you'll see "unavailable right now" instead of a message saying your address couldn't be found.
  • Safer sharing: fixed a website issue that could let a specially crafted address run code for other crew members.

Version 1.0.25 (Build 30)

October 8, 2026
πŸ›‘οΈ Admin Console
  • Menu fixed in the apps: the admin console's navigation menu opened as a thin, unreadable strip at the top of the screen on Android and iPhone. It now fills the screen, and the menu button stays visible so you can close it.
πŸ•οΈ Early Access Invites
  • No code to type: approved from the waitlist? Sign in with the Google account (or Apple, on iPhone) for the email you signed up with, and your invite is applied automatically. The invite email's button opens sign-in for you.
  • Waitlist emails: joining the waitlist sends a confirmation, and approval sends your invite, from hello@campcrew.camp. Joining twice tells you you're already on the list.

Version 1.0.24 (Build 29)

September 22, 2026
πŸ”’ Security & Privacy
  • No test shortcuts in released apps: the test sign-in screens and links are gone from store builds on every platform, and no tester password ships in any app.
  • Admin access tightened: admin tools now require a verified owner account; an email domain alone no longer grants access.
  • Invite-only sign-ups: new accounts need an invitation or registration pass, and sign-ups stay closed unless they are explicitly opened.
  • Account deletion: deleting your account now asks you to confirm your sign-in first on every device, so nothing is deleted halfway, and on Android it now also deletes your saved home address.
  • iPhone home address: the home address in Settings is now saved and shared with your other devices, visible only to you.
  • Updated policies: the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Security Policy now cover Sign in with Apple, what a crew you ask to join can see, and exactly what deleting your account removes. Support email is support@campcrew.camp.
πŸ“· iPhone: Photos & Campsite Details
  • Photos and banners: trip photos and campground banners now appear on iPhone, with a full-screen viewer.
  • Campsite details saved: electric hookup, level pad, pull-through, pad length, dog-friendly and water hookup from the Log Campground wizard are now saved and shown on the trip.
  • Real amenities only: a trip shows only the amenities that were actually recorded.
πŸ”„ Cross-Device Fixes
  • Join requests everywhere: a request to join a crew made on the web, Android or iPhone now shows up on the others.
  • Custom categories and cuisines: your crew's own outing categories and cuisines sync to iPhone, and editing an outing no longer resets its category.
  • Android card buttons: "🎯 + Outing" and "🍽️ + Dining" on a campground card open the add screen, and a campground with no state no longer shows a made-up "CA".
  • Clear errors: if deleting a crew or account fails on iPhone, the app now says so.
  • No leftover trips: a trip deleted on one device no longer lingers on an Android device that was closed at the time.
  • Notifications on iPhone: the bell now shows CampCrew announcements, with read and dismissed state shared across your devices.
  • Crew name on the web: the dashboard banner shows your crew's real name even before any trips are logged.
  • Admin console in the apps: admin accounts open the console inside the Android and iPhone apps instead of a browser.
